Commitment

Commitment is definitely something that is not easy to do because you do not see results until some time has passed.  The equivalent would be digging a hole in the ground, and you start off by just breaking the ground.  The initial results are barely anything because you are using a shovel that is small and it seems like you are not making any real progress, but if you look down and continue to dig by the time you look back up you are pretty far down.   I feel that this concept has been right to anything I have given up on in my life including but not limited to the things I have done kind of well.  It is so hard because we do not see the other side of the progress we have made until later on.  We could have climbed up a mountain, and we keep looking at how far we have to go it can feel like you have not even moved at all.  The importance of commitment comes into play when we continue the same actions day after day despite whether or not we see progress to achieve the end result of whatever we want to have.  The same is applied to the things we do to hurt ourselves.  We can continue dangerous behaviors, and they are going to take there toll the same way good ones, so that is why it becomes essential to commit to the right actions because the time is going to pass either way might as well .do it the right direction.  If a better version of yourself is always seen in your head, then you will continue no matter what happens to you.  Another annoying part of commitment is not knowing how long something will take because we compare our progress to others people's development.  The importance of this problem takes its toll on you because you feel you are not where they are at or where you are supposed to be.  The key I have learned is to focus inward on the objective and knock it out every day.  The key is to imagine yourself having received whatever you are chasing already then you will receive it.  Focus on seeing it and feeling what it would feel like to get to that point then you will have what you want.
